Tarl Johnson

Tarl joined Brown Family law in 2024 and leads our law office in Phoenix, Arizona to help our clients to protect their family and their money.  Prior to joining Brown Family Law, Tarl owned and operated his own firm in Mesa, Arizona.

Tarl was born in Oklahoma, but moved to Phoenix, Arizona at a very early age.  Tarl attended Mesa Community College, achieving multiple associate degrees.  He went on to study Social Work at Arizona State University, graduating in the top of his class.  Tarl then went on to attend law school at Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law, graduating in 2014.

Law school is intended to take three years to complete.  However, Tarl did it in two.  Even though he was always busy studying, he found time to volunteer to work with veterans and homeless individuals that needed legal assistance.  Tarl’s career in family law didn’t truly start until after graduating law school.  Many of his clients were having a tough time with their divorces and struggling to understand the process.  Tarl saw their struggles and committed to helping them through it with as little stress as possible.  As a result of his evolution into family law, Tarl has experience in Wills and Trusts, Personal injury, Contract Law, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Law.

Outside of work, Tarl enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  He loves all things Warhammer, and can be found enjoying a quality fantasy book in his hammock on cooler days.
